Amex GBT/KDS analysis and social media praised

BTJA1Business Travel iQ has scooped two awards at the Business Travel Journalism Awards 2017.

The team were awarded the accolade for Best Social Media Campaign after a year of growth in followers on Twitter and LinkedIn, led by community and content manager Amanda Greenwood. The judges acknowledged the community feel and engaging manner of the social media posts.

Content director Mark Frary was named News Journalist of the Year – Trade for his analysis ‘KDS: What is Amex buying?’. The judges commented that the article covered a lot of unanswered questions about the takeover.

Business Travel iQ was also shortlisted for Best Digital Strategy and Editorial Team of the Year at the annual awards ceremony, which is run by Carlson Wagonlit Travel and judged by travel buyers, journalists and PR professionals. Greenwood’s article ‘How China is ahead of Europe on apps, pay and business travel’ was shortlisted in the Features Journalist of the Year – Industry Trends category.
